In Mallorca the climate allows work almost all year round, but each species has its moment.
January and February: stone fruit pruning and removal of dead wood. Avoid large cuts during night frosts.
March and April: the last window for heavy olive pruning before flowering.
May to September: palm pruning, removal of dry fronds and crown checks. Never cut the crown of a palm.
October and November: pine pruning and lifting low branches before the storms.
December: general review, sanitation and planning for the coming year.
